This book isn't a typical jerky recipe book. There's only a couple recipes in it. What it does contain, besides the worst spelling of Worchestershire I've ever seen, is a vast amount of information.I've been making jerky for a very long time by dehydrators, smokers and low temperature ovens. I know quite a bit about the process. This book added a little more information. I enjoyed it a bit.
This is not just another recipe book but way more than that. I would say this is a complete book of Jerky making tips and strategies as well as how to prepare them and store them to enjoy fresh and juicy all the time when you need it. The author has provided the details not just for beef jerky but also a wide variety of meats and fish we can use to prepare jerky including alligator, alpaca, buffalo, duck, elk, fish, snake, kangaroo, ostrich, salmon, trout, tuna, turkey, venison jerky, wild boar and yak.It's a marvelous book to a jerky lover and must have book for all kitchen.
